C. McGhee
Yvonne C. McGhee is the Executive Director of the Fairfax Bar Association (FBA), having begun her service to the FBA in 2000. In her capacity as Executive Director, she manages the Fairfax Public Law Library, Fairfax Law Foundation and Lawyer Referral and Information Service.
Yvonne earned her J.D. from the T.C. Williams School of Law, University of Richmond, VA, and her B.A. in History/Political Science from King College, Bristol, TN. Prior to joining the Fairfax Bar, Yvonne practiced law in Virginia and Texas. She also developed the first pro se self help center in the 26th Judicial District, Charlotte, NC.
Yvonne is a member of the Virginia State Bar, American Society of Association Executives, the National Conference of Bar Foundations, Metropolitan Bar Caucus and the National Association of Bar Executives (NABE), where she is currently serving on the NABE Board of Directors.
Among the acknowledgements for her service to the profession and the public, Yvonne is the recipient of the 2001, 2006 and 2008 Fairfax Bar President’s Award, the 2005 NABE Communications Section Anne Charles Award for outstanding volunteerism, and the 2006 NABE Peer Excellence award.
