""Continuing Education
The Fairfax Library Foundation's Scholarship Program established Continuing Education scholarship awards to enhance the capability of the Fairfax County Public Library (FCPL) staff and volunteers to deliver high quality service to the citizens of Fairfax County by assisting in their development. Twice a year the Scholarship Program provides several full and/or partial scholarships to support the continuing education of individuals within the FCPL System. All FCPL employees and volunteers are eligible to apply for Continuing Education scholarships.

Undergraduate
The Fairfax Library Foundation's Scholarship Program established Undergraduate scholarship awards to enhance the capability of the Fairfax County Public Library (FCPL) staff and volunteers to deliver high quality service to the citizens of Fairfax County by assisting in their development. These merit-based scholarships are available to employees and volunteers who clearly intend to obtain an undergraduate degree that will meet the requirements for entrance into a Library Science graduate program, and who plan to remain employed within the FCPL System.

Masters of Library Science
The Fairfax Library Foundation's Scholarship Program established Masters of Library Science scholarship awards to enhance the capability of the Fairfax County Public Library (FCPL) to meet current and future needs for librarians in order to deliver high quality service to the citizens of Fairfax County. A special Edwin S. Clay, III named award is presented annually in honor of the Library Director. These merit-based scholarships are for individuals pursuing a Masters degree in Library Science at an American Library Association (ALA) accredited school who live, work, volunteer or attend school within Fairfax County or the City of Fairfax, Virginia.
