On Thursday, October 18, the Fairfax Library Foundation headed on over to Alex and Ani in Mosaic District in Fairfax, VA for a Charity by Design fundraising event. With this collaboration, we were able to meet new faces, socialize, and shop with one another. Not to mention it was the perfect time to get presents for your loved ones with a gift that gives back to the Fairfax County, VA community.
Alex and Ani staff and Foundation members had such a blast working together as well as getting to know everyone coming in to try on the variety of bracelets and necklaces on display throughout the store. Seeing everyone's eyes sparkle at a jewelry designs that caught their eye and taking pictures at Alex and Ani's wall photo op area with the quirky props was the highlight of the evening! Whether customers were browsing or purchasing gifts for upcoming birthdays or Christmas, it was still an engaging and relaxing night getting to know those in our community.
The donations that were received through the Alex and Ani purchases will help us bring even more programs and services to our community. With the introduction of 3D printers, a gaming station, the Memory Depot and number of other programs at our 23 Fairfax County Public Library branches, we are eager to see what library programs or services will be next! The Fairfax Library Foundation would like to thank Alex and Ani in Mosaic District for hosting us and we hope to work together again soon!
We hope to see you for our 2018 Holiday Book Fair on December 15th, 2018, which will raise funds for FCPL programs, services, and scholarships.
