MISSION STATEMENT:
Fairfax Library Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable and educational organization committed to providing supplementary support to the Fairfax County Public Library. The Foundation, while reinforcing the need for continued and increased public support for the Library, serves as a catalyst for attracting private funding from individuals, businesses, organizations and foundations to enhance library services for our community.

Since 1994, the Fairfax Library Foundation has existed solely with the mission to enhance programs and services of the Fairfax County Public Library, the largest public library system in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Designated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable and educational organization, the Foundation provides supplementary support for the library to more positively impact the lives of over 1 million residents living in our community by providing access to information, technology, innovations, civic engagement and entertainment, and by offering literacy and educational opportunities.
