ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA — Officials from Fairfax County and the Commonwealth of Virginia gathered on Thursday, May 6, 2021, to remember longtime Library Trustee and former ex-officio member of the Fairfax Library Foundation Board of Directors, Will Jasper. A conference room at the newly-renovated John Marshall Library in Alexandria is now officially named in his honor.

“Ensuring there were free places where people could get together and talk about issues and solve problems was really important to him,” explained current Fairfax County Library Board of Trustees Chair, Fran Millhouser. “It’s so fitting that—in this library, in the district he represented—there will be just such a place named after him.”

Jasper, who represented Lee District on the the Fairfax County Public Library Board of Trustees for 16 years, passed away in October 2020.
