FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA — Winners of the Fairfax County Public Library Card Contest were unveiled today.
The contest, sponsored by Fairfax Library Foundation, awarded $500 prizes to four local artists whose submissions will now be featured on special edition library cards in honor of FCPL’s new logo. The winners were chosen from over 150 entries and were also honored at the December 10 FCPL Board of Trustees meeting.
The new library cards will be available to the public at all 23 branches by mid-January—both for new card sign-ups and in exchange for existing cards. We look forward to seeing these cards being used by FCPL patrons across Fairfax County. Thanks to all who participated!
Since 1994, the Fairfax Library Foundation has existed solely with the mission to enhance the programs and services of the Fairfax County Public Library, the largest public library system in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
